Where Your Purchase Goes

World Orphans Market exists for one reason: to create dignified work that keeps families together.

Handmade textiles crafted by World Orphans artisans in Guatemala City

What happens when you buy

Your purchase first covers the cost of making and shipping your item, including the materials our artisans work with. After production and shipping costs, 100% of the net proceeds go directly to World Orphans' economic empowerment program in Guatemala.

What your purchase funds

Dignified wages for artisans. The women of our Zone 18 and Zone 7 workshops in Guatemala City earn a dignified, reliable wage for their craftsmanship, so they can provide for their families.

Vocational Training Centers. Our centers in Zone 18 and Zone 7 teach sewing, leatherworking, and crochet. The Zone 7 center also provides tutoring and daycare, so mothers can learn a trade while their children are cared for.

Family preservation. When a mother has steady income, her children can stay home, stay in school, and grow up in a family. That is the mission behind every product we sell.
