About Our Custom Jewelry

To make this beautiful beaded jewelry from Ethiopia, the artisans cut paper into small strips and then tightly roll it around a skewer. The paper beads are then sealed with glue and painted before being threaded onto a string. Most of the women learned about jewelry making from a World Orphans job skills training, empowering them to start their own businesses and provide for their families.

Handcrafted Leather Goods

Pastor Nicolas Tellez grew up learning from his father how to make shoes and leather goods as a little boy in a small town of Nicaragua. After meeting his wife, Adela, and settling down in inner city Guatemala City, they planted a church together. In order to supplement their income, they make beautiful handmade leather good of all sorts.  If you can imagine it, he can make it!  In fact, several members of the Tellz family participate in making these gorgeous products. They are eager to share their knowledge and experience in working leather with the women they serve in their communities. The women in the Zone 18 sewing cooperative are learning to sew leather and produce leather purses, belts, aprons, computer cases, and many more leather products. The Tellez family is a family who is sold out for Christ in all they do.  They are selfless people, eager to serve the many needs in their community without reservations.
